About this course
The Grade 6 Mathematics syllabus serves as the bridge between primary and secondary school math. Issued by the National Institute of Education (NIE), it marks a shift toward abstract mathematical concepts, basic algebraic thinking, and formal geometric terminology.
The syllabus is structured across 25 distinct units, which are taught chronologically across three academic terms.
Skills gained: numerical fluency, algebraic reasoning, spatial thinking, data interpretation, modelling, estimation and precise mathematical communication.
Target students: Students progressing through Grade 6 who want a dependable weekly learning structure, purposeful practice and measured progress toward school and external assessments.
Assessment approach: Short retrieval checks, worked problem sets, multi-step investigations, timed topic tests and cumulative mock-style papers are used to measure both method and accuracy.

Requirements

- A notebook or digital workspace and the standard subject equipment requested by the instructor.
